Let me take you back to the beginning.
I was in a clinic because of my eating disorder. They didn't let me move. No training. No exercise. Nothing. After I got out, I had this huge urge to move. To feel my body. To do something. Anything. So I started training in front of the TV. Just following what I saw. No plan. No goal. Just movement.
That's how it all began.
The Comments I Got
Back then, I was really skinny. Really thin. And people noticed. But not in a good way. They said: "Why are you training? You're already too thin." "You don't need to work out." "You'll disappear." I never understood that. Because I didn't want to be thin. I wanted to be strong. I wanted to build muscle. I wanted to be healthy.
2017 – The Instagram Start
In 2017, I started my fitness journey on Instagram. At first, I posted about food. What I ate. How I fueled my body. People started noticing. They asked questions. So I started reading, learning, figuring out how to do things right. How to listen to my body. How to give myself rest. Just like I do now with yoga.
My Real Goal
My goal was never to be skinny. Never to look good for others. My goal was to be strong. To build muscle. To feel powerful in my own body. To be truly healthy – not just on the outside.
What Happens Now
Today, when people see me, they react differently. They look at my arms and say: "Wow, I love your arms!" "I want arms like that!" No introduction. Just straight to my muscles. And I get it. I understand the fascination. But I'm still not where I want to be. Still growing. Still learning.
A Compliment That Meant Everything
Recently, a fit woman approached me. She trains at home with bodyweight and has impressive arms herself. She gave me a real compliment. One that showed she understood what I'm doing. It motivated me so much. Reminded me I'm on the right track. That I should keep going.
I told Matthias, a good friend of mine, about it. And guess what? He went out some days later, spotted a another woman with well trained and defined arms and gave her a compliment too. And she was incredibly pleased and grateful.
The Ripple Effect
That's the power of compliments. They spread. One genuine compliment can brighten someone's day. Remind them why they train. Give them motivation to keep going. And it costs nothing.
So Here's My Challenge to You
If you see someone with strong arms, defined muscles, a fit body – tell them. Appreciate their hard work. Not to hit on them. Just to be kind. Because training is hard. Building muscle takes time. Staying consistent is a battle. And sometimes, a simple compliment is exactly what someone needs to keep going.
My Rules, My Goals, My Message
Here's what I believe:
- Train for yourself. Not for anyone else.
- Listen to your body. Rest when you need to.
- Build muscle. Build strength. Build health – real health.
- Don't let anyone tell you what you need or don't need.
- Keep going. Even when you're not at your goal yet. I'm not either.
And Most Importantly – Share
Share your love. Share your motivation. Share your story. And always, always share a smile. Because a smile gives strength. It gives motivation. It reminds us we're not alone. That's what this journey is about.
So keep going. Keep growing. Keep sharing.
And let's do it together.
