The RTL Feature – My Behind the Scenes Story

Many of you wrote to me after my last Throwback Thursday. You saw the background clips I filmed with my camera and my two phones from the RTL shoot.

So here's the full story.

How It All Started

It was June 2025. I got a message from my friend and neighbor, Geli. We met by accident in a Spanish course years ago. She's an artist. And she asked me if I had time – spontaneously – because the RTL team was there. They were filming people on Gran Canaria to show how you can live there as an expat, how you make money, how life works. She asked if I wanted to be part of it.

I said yes.

Then They Found Out What I Do

The RTL team found out how I make my money. Muscle flexing. Training content. My whole online world. And they found it super interesting. Really fascinating to them. So they asked if I would be open to talking about it. Maybe an interview with a customer. Maybe just a little insight into how I work.

I said yes.

The Shoot – So Much More Than What You Saw

We filmed so much. So many scenes. So many moments. But a lot of it was never shown in the final feature. Not even close. There was a holding exercise – an isometric hold – that I filmed myself with my phone. That wasn't in the feature either. Other things too. Gone. Cut. But you know what? A lot of me was still shown. A lot of my voice. My words. My story. And also my friend Geli.

Even though I wasn't the main person in the feature. Even though it wasn't about me. Nothing About Me Was Faked I want to be clear about one thing – about me: Nothing about my part in that shoot was fake. Nothing was scripted. Nothing was repeated.

Yes, we had to film some scenes from two or three different angles. That's normal, that's how filming works. But even then? I didn't repeat my words. I didn't memorize a text. Everything that came out of my mouth came out in that moment. Real. Honest. Me. And that's what got cut together. Those real moments. Those real words. That's how it works. And I'm proud of that.

The Throwback Video

After the shoot, I had all this material. My own footage. Filmed with my cameras. Filmed with my two phones. So I made a throwback video out of it. A look behind the scenes. The stuff you didn't see on TV. You could watch it this week on Thursday. And the response? So many of you wrote to me. Asked questions. Wanted to know more.

That's why I'm writing this now.

January 2026 – The Broadcast

In January 2026, the feature aired on RTL. Punkt 12. I think it was around the 25th. I don't remember exactly. But it was January. And there I was. Part of it. Not the main character. But there. What This Means to Me

This whole experience reminded me of something. You never know what's coming. You never know who's watching. You never know what door opens next. I met my neighbor by accident in a Spanish course. She asked me a simple question. And suddenly I'm part of an RTL feature watched by millions. Life is crazy. Life is unpredictable. And life is beautiful.
